My New Toy: Roland TD-30KV
I just assembled my new toy, Roland TD-30KV... It's the "so-called" flagship of Roland's V-Drum series. In this post, I won't expain how and why I decided to buy this kit but if you want further information about the kit, just google its name (Roland TD-30KV) and you'll find lots of websites with videos and articles. One thing I can say about this monster is that I would definitely recommend it to anyone if money is not an issue.
Let's check some photos that we took while assembling the kit...

World In The Kitchen
My wife and I have been thinking about a travel logging idea. Keeping a soft journal (like a Word document or Google custom maps) was too synthetic, it doesn't involve hand work. On the other hand, a paper journal or paper map is too hard to maintain and update. So, we came up with this solution: a PVC world map showing the places we have been to...

Hey You
Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you, with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home.
But it was only fantasy.
The wall was too high,
As you can see.
No matter how he tried,
He could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.
Hey you, standing in the road
always doing what you're told,
Can you help me?
Hey you, out there beyond the wall,
Breaking bottles in the hall,
Can you help me?
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall.
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.

A Brief Explanation About Gezi Park
I have been thinking about how to explain what is going on in Istanbul and in Turkey these days. Although foreign channels are broadcasting news about the events, local Turkish news channels still insist on trying to hide the facts. So, today I was all set to publish a post and try to explain what it is all about but I thought it might help to check my friend's blog, Serkan Unal Blog Page. He is a friend of mine and is a good blogger who already published a post about the events. After reading his post, I thought I could not write anything better than that and I decided to refer to his blog post.
Any of you who wants to have a brief information about what this "Gezi Park" event is all about, please do check this page: Enough is Enough
